Our Story
Back in 1977, Ed Wracan agreed to help his son, John, operate a single bee hive as a 4H Club project. At the time, neither could have imagined that one hive would grow into a thriving family business. Four years later, in 1981, Ed and John formed Wracan & Son and began selling their honey throughout Mid-Michigan at various farmers markets and craft shows. What started as a small hobby quickly grew through hard work, dedication, and a passion for beekeeping. Today, Wracan & Son has grown to include the next generation, managing more than 200 honeybee colonies across Mid-Michigan. We continue to provide raw local honey, bee packages, starter hives, beekeeping supplies, and educational classes for aspiring beekeepers. More than four decades later, we remain committed to supporting both honey lovers and local Michigan beekeepers.
