What Are Bee Packages and Nucs?
Bee packages typically consist of a screened package containing worker bees and a mated queen, while nucleus colonies (nucs) are established mini-colonies that include brood, food stores, and an actively laying queen. Both options are commonly used to start new hives or expand existing apiaries.
Seasonal Availability
Bee packages and nucs are available seasonally and are typically offered for spring pickup. Because availability is limited and demand is often high, reservations are recommended when ordering opens.

Bees are available for local pickup only. We proudly serve beekeepers throughout Shiawassee county, Genessee county, and surrounding communities.

2026 Bee Package and Nuc orders are closed for the year. Please check back in January 2027 for preorder information and seasonal availability. 2026 prices:
- 3lb. Italian colony with queen: $140.00
- 3lb. Carniolan colony with queen: $145.00
- Additional queens: $35.00 each
- 4 frame nuc colony: $180.00
